The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the HEM Miners (Hanna, WY) and the host Rock River Longhorns (Rock River, WY), observed HEM's basketball team overwhelm Rock River by a margin of 52-31.

The Miners (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Encampment (Encampment, WY). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-8 record. In their last challenge, Encampment was trounced by Cokeville (Cokeville, WY), 55-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers (Lingle, WY) in a 1A Southeast challenge, on Friday, February 14. Rock River will attempt to better on its 0-11 season record. The Doggers come into the challenge with a 18-0 record after their 74-25 non-league win over Crawford (Crawford, NE).
