Ashland Oredockers (Ashland, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Spooner Rails (Spooner, WI), 62-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Ashland upgrades its record to 6-13 on the season. The Oredockers host Cumberland (Cumberland, WI) to play the Beavers in a Heart O'North bout on Saturday, February 11. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Cumberland won 68-41 in their recent league bout against St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI)

Next up, the Rails play the Hayward Hurricanes (Hayward, WI) in a Heart O'North bout, on Saturday, February 11. Spooner will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 2-17 record after their 67-29 league loss to Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (Chetek, WI).
