Virginia High School Basketball - Carroll County trounces Galax

The Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) basketball crushed the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 74-43 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (16-8) will now prepare for their test against Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 5-17 record. In their last test, Hidden Valley was trounced by Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA), 74-51, in a league test.
The Maroon Tide now own a 4-18 record. They play next when they travel to Bland County for a Mountain Empire test on Monday, February 13. Galax will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 71-56 league win over Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Bears record now stands at 16-7.
