Minnesota High School Basketball - Coon Rapids overwhelmed by Anoka

The Anoka Tornadoes basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Coon Rapids Cardinals to 33 in the Tornadoes league victory on Thursday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centennial for a AAAA Section 7 contest on Wednesday, February 15. Anoka will battle a Cougars team coming off a 62-44 league win over Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 14-9.
The Cardinals (2-19) will now prepare for their contest against Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN). The Bluejackets come into the AAAA Section 7 contest with a 17-4 record. In their last contest, Cambridge-Isanti triumphed over Big Lake (Big Lake, MN), 66-21, in a non-league contest.
