The Johnson Central Golden Eagles basketball squad scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Belfry Pirates to 25 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.

With the victory, Johnson Central upgrades its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Monday, February 13. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 5-8. Pike County Central lost 80-46 in their recent non-league bout against Lawrence County (Louisa, KY)

Next up, the Pirates play the Phelps Hornets (Phelps, KY) in a District 60 bout, on Friday, February 10. Belfry will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 68-61 non-league win over Council (Council, VA).
