Utah High School Basketball - Merit Preparatory Academy thwarts Freedom Prep Academy

The Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT) basketball knocked off the host Freedom Prep Academy Eagles (Provo, UT), 53-33 in Thursday's league test.
The Knights (12-11) will now prepare for their test against Waterford (Sandy, UT). The Ravens go into the non-league test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Waterford went down by Rowland Hall (Salt Lake City, UT), 33-27, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they travel to Enterprise for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 15. Freedom Prep Academy will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 59-42 league loss to Kanab (Kanab, UT). The Wolves record now stands at 6-18.
