With the victory, Lake upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign.

Next up, the Tigers play the Nanih Waiya Warriors (Louisville, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 60-28 league loss to Lake (Lake, MS).
