Kansas High School Basketball - Anderson County topped by Iola

The Iola Mustangs basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Anderson County Bulldogs to 41 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Osawatomie for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Iola will battle a Trojans team coming off a 71-54 non-league loss to Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 6-11.

The Bulldogs (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Wellsville (Wellsville, KS). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Wellsville prevailed over West Franklin (Pomona, KS), 86-38, in a non-league contest.
