North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County falls to Freedom

February 9, 2024: Morganton, NC 28655

In Friday's league match, the host Freedom Patriots basketball team scored a good 70-55 triumph over the Ashe County Huskies.

In their next game, the Patriots meet the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern match, on Tuesday, February 13. Freedom will attempt to better on its 11-10 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 17-5 record after their 68-51 league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

With the defeat, Ashe County moves to 7-14 on the year. The Huskies travel to Millers Creek Christian (Millers Creek, NC) to meet the Lions in a non-league match on Monday, February 12. The Lions enter the match with a record of 8-7. Millers Creek Christian lost 47-46 in their recent non-league match against Millennium (Mount Airy, NC)
