Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tillamook Cheesemakers (Tillamook, OR), 73-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Astoria upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Fishermen travel to St. Helens (St. Helens, OR) to play the Lions in a 4A Cowapa bout on Friday, February 16. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 9-12.

Next up, the Cheesemakers play the St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) in a 4A Cowapa bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Tillamook will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 61-41 league loss to Scappoose (Scappoose, OR).
