Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals (Doniphan, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wood River Eagles (Wood River, NE), 60-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Doniphan-Trumbull upgrades its record to 18-1 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Concordia (Omaha, NE) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 19-1. Concordia won 62-28 in their recent non-league bout against Blair (Blair, NE)

Next up, the Eagles play the Kenesaw Blue Devils (Kenesaw, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Wood River will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 43-41 non-league loss to Bertrand (Bertrand, NE).
