Illinois High School Basketball - Elk Grove knocked off by Hersey

The Hersey Huskies basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Elk Grove Grenadiers to 61 in the Huskies league triumph on Friday.
The Huskies now sport a 14-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grayslake Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Hersey will meet a Rams team coming off a 73-57 league win over North Chicago (North Chicago, IL). The Rams record now stands at 18-9.
The Grenadiers (3-24) will now prepare for their contest against Mather (Chicago, IL). The Rangers enter the non-league contest with a 10-16 record. In their last contest, Mather was outscored by Urban Prep-Bronzeville (Chicago, IL), 58-50, in a non-league contest.
