The Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC) basketball crushed the host Nantahala Hawks (Topton, NC), 92-48 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (7-13) will now prepare for their test against Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC). The Bobcats go into the 1A Little Smoky test with a 4-17 record. In their last test, Blue Ridge Early College was trounced by Highlands (Highlands, NC), 48-37, in a league test.

The Hawks now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to Highlands for a 1A Little Smoky outing on Tuesday, February 13. Nantahala will clash with a Highlanders squad coming off a 48-37 league win over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC). The Highlanders record now stands at 6-16.
