York Golden Knights (Retsof, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Le Roy Oatkan Knights (Le Roy, NY), 67-53 in a league bout.

With the win, York upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Golden Knights travel to Hornell (Hornell, NY) to clash with the Red Raiders in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Hornell won 70-53 in their recent non-league bout against Wellsville (Wellsville, NY)

Next up, the Oatkan Knights clash with the Pavilion Golden Gophers (Pavilion, NY) in a Section 5 Livingston 3 bout, on Monday, February 12. Le Roy will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Golden Gophers go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 62-51 league win over Caledonia-Mumford (Caledonia, NY).
