Texas High School Basketball - Leakey overwhelmed by Utopia

The Leakey Eagles basketball team (Leakey, TX), was routed 81-49 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX)

The Buffaloes now sport a 16-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Medina for a 1A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, February 13. Utopia will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 56-51 league win over D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-8.

The Eagles (2-24) will now prepare for their battle against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers come into the 1A Region IV District 31 battle with a 2-15 record. In their last battle, Nueces Canyon was routed by Knippa (Knippa, TX), 69-39, in a league battle.
