Texas High School Basketball - Los Fresnos thwarts Rivera

February 9, 2024: Los Fresnos, TX 78566

The Los Fresnos Falcons basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the visiting Rivera Raiders to 58 in the Falcons league victory on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 27-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Weslaco for a 6A Region IV District 32 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Los Fresnos will battle a Panthers team coming off a 33-32 league win over Harlingen (Harlingen, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 16-17.

The Raiders (17-14) will now prepare for their contest against San Benito (San Benito, TX). The Greyhounds come into the 6A Region IV District 32 contest with a 5-18 record. In their last contest, San Benito was defeated by Hanna (Brownsville, TX), 65-37, in a league contest.
