The Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) basketball crushed the host Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR), 72-27 in Friday's league test.
The Patriots (17-5) will now prepare for their test against Batesville (Batesville, AR). The Pioneers go into the 5A East test with a 8-17 record. In their last test, Batesville walloped Paragould (Paragould, AR), 55-48, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 11-14 record. They play next when they travel to Greene County Tech for a 5A East test on Tuesday, February 13. Searcy will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 84-62 league loss to Valley View (Jonesboro, AR). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 13-15.
