Burlington Wildcats (Burlington, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Prairie View Buffalos (La Cygne, KS), 30-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Burlington upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Wildcats host Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS) to play the Chargers in a Pioneer bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Santa Fe Trail won 98-12 in their recent non-league bout against Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS)

Next up, the Buffalos play the Anderson County Bulldogs (Garnett, KS) in a Pioneer bout, on Friday, February 16. Prairie View will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 16-1 record after their 63-36 non-league win over Wellsville (Wellsville, KS).
