The Negaunee Miners basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host Ishpeming Hematites to 56 in the Miners league victory on Friday.

The Miners now sport a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gwinn for a Mid-Peninsula contest on Tuesday, February 13. Negaunee will battle a Modeltowners team coming off a 63-31 non-league loss to Escanaba (Escanaba, MI). The Modeltowners record now stands at 1-16.

The Hematites (15-1) will now prepare for their contest against Baraga (Baraga, MI). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 13-3 record.
