The Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) basketball felled the visiting Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC), 61-42 in Friday's league test.
The Cougars (20-3) will now prepare for their test against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC). The Eagles go into the 1A/2A Piedmont test with a 14-8 record.
The Warriors now own a 12-10 record. They play next when they host Uwharrie Charter for a 1A/2A Piedmont test on Tuesday, February 13. Wheatmore will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 68-46 league win over Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 14-8.
