New Mexico High School Softball - Valley bounces Rio Grande

The Valley Vikings softball team scored 19 runs and held the host Rio Grande Ravens to 6 in the Vikings non-league win on Saturday.

The Vikings now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manzano for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4. Valley will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Rio Grande moves to 0-1 on the season. The Ravens host Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Sundevils in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4. The Sundevils come into the battle with a record of 0-3. Sandia Prep lost 18-3 in their recent non-league battle against Capital (Santa Fe, NM)
