In Thursday's league outing, the host Jena Giants softball team scored a nice 18-7 win over the Marksville Tigers.

Coming up next, the Giants encounter the Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, March 12. Jena will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Trojans enter the outing with a 10-6 record after their 14-2 non-league win over Welsh (Welsh, LA).

The Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Buckeye (Buckeye, LA). The Panthers enter the 3A District 3 outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Buckeye was routed by West Monroe (West Monroe, LA), 15-1, in a non-league outing.
