North Carolina High School Softball - Jordan-Matthews Union Pines

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) softball team the visiting Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), by a margin of 8-5.

With the triumph, Union Pines moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to play the Timberwolves in a non-league contest on Monday, March 14. The Timberwolves come into the contest with a record of 2-3. Montgomery Central lost 13-3 in their recent non-league contest against Richmond (Rockingham, NC)

In their next game, the Jets play the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 14. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 10-0 league win over Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC).
