North Carolina High School Softball - Jordan-Matthews tipped by Union Pines

In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Union Pines Vikings softball team scored a close 5-3 win over the Jordan-Matthews Jets.

Coming up next, the Vikings battle the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A outing, on Thursday, April 28. Union Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Patriots enter the outing with a 6-11 record after their 10-0 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).

The Jets (5-13) will now prepare for their outing against Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC). The Buccaneers enter the Mid-Carolina 1A/2A outing with a 10-5 record. In their last outing, Bartlett Yancey tipped Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 12-11, in a non-league outing.
