The South Johnston Trojans baseball team (Four Oaks, NC), was overwhelmed 10-4 in Friday's non-league outing with the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC)
The Comets now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Corinth Holders for a Greater Neuse River 4A outing on Tuesday, March 14. Clayton will face a Pirates team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 3-3.
Next, the Trojans face the Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) in a Quad County 3A outing, on Tuesday, March 14. South Johnston will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Spartans enter the outing with a 2-0 record after their 12-9 non-league win over Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC).
