Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Storm now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Organ Mountain for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 10. Cleveland will face a Knights squad coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Silver falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Fighting colts travel to Miyamura (Gallup, NM) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 10. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Miyamura won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM)
