North Carolina High School Softball - Crest bounces Ashbrook

The Crest Chargers softball team scored 18 runs and held the host Ashbrook Greenwave to 0 in the Chargers league win on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kings Mountain for a Big South 5A/6A battle on Friday, March 13. Crest will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 14-0 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Ashbrook drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Greenwave host Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 11. The Yellow Jackets go into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Bessemer City lost 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Burns (Lawndale, NC)
