North Carolina High School Softball - Crest bounces Ashbrook

April 2, 2026: Shelby, NC 28152

The Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) softball routed the visiting Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), 18-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Chargers now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Stanly for a non-league test on Monday, April 6. Crest will meet a Bulls squad coming off a 11-1 league win over North Stanly (New London, NC). The Bulls record now stands at 13-0.

The Greenwave (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Huskies go into the Big South 5A/6A test with a 0-7 record. In their last test, Huss was routed by Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC), 23-0, in a league test.
