The Irvine Vaqueros held off the visiting University Trojans volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's league test.

The Vaqueros now have a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beckman for a Pacific Coast game on Friday, March 18. Irvine will meet a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 league win over Laguna Hills (Laguna Hills, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 17-1.

The Trojans (3-8) will now prepare for their game against Laguna Hills (Laguna Hills, CA). The Hawks enter the Pacific Coast game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Laguna Hills was nudged by Beckman (Irvine, CA), 3-0, in a league game.
