South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC), 16-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Falcons now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Corinth Holders for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16.
With the loss, Ayden - Grifton falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Chargers host Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 14. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Pamlico County won 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Havelock (Havelock, NC)
