California High School Softball - Rio Mesa bounces Oxnard

The Rio Mesa Spartans the visiting Oxnard Yellowjackets softball squad by a final score of 5-1 in Friday's league battle.

The Spartans (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Channel Islands (Oxnard, CA). The Raiders go into the Pacific View battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Channel Islands was routed by Ventura (Ventura, CA), 23-4, in a league battle.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Pacifica for a Pacific View challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Oxnard will battle a Tritons squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Buena (Ventura, CA). The Tritons record now stands at 3-7.
