California High School Softball - Rio Mesa bounces Oxnard

April 15, 2022: Oxnard, CA 93036

Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Oxnard Yellowjackets (Oxnard, CA), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they host Channel Islands for a Pacific View challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Rio Mesa will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 24-1 league loss to Ventura (Ventura, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 0-13.

With the loss, Oxnard falls to 12-6 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Pacifica (Oxnard, CA) to battle the Tritons in a Pacific View challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Tritons enter the challenge with a record of 5-13.
