Mississippi High School Baseball - North Pike loses to Loyd Star

The Loyd Star Hornets crushed the host North Pike Jaguars baseball team by a count of 8-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Joseph Catholic for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 19. Loyd Star will face a Bruins team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Oxford (Oxford, MS). The Bruins record now stands at 12-3.

Next, the Jaguars face the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 12. North Pike will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 10-4 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Parklane Academy (McComb, MS).
