In Monday's league contest, the Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX), by a margin of 14-2.

With the triumph, Rio Grande City moves its record to 5-6 on the year. The Rattlers travel to Cigarroa (Laredo, TX) to play the Toros in a 5A Region IV District 30 contest on Wednesday, March 13. The Toros come into the contest with a record of 1-8. Cigarroa lost 12-9 in their recent league contest against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX)

In their next game, the Tigers play the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 contest, on Wednesday, March 13. Martin will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record.
