North Carolina High School Baseball - South View held off by Lumberton

Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC), 5-3 in a league match.

With the triumph, Lumberton advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Pirates host Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to confront the Bucks in a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 12. The Bucks come into the contest with a record of 1-5. Hoke County lost 9-0 in their recent league contest against Lee County (Sanford, NC)

The Tigers now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Purnell Swett for a United Eight 3A/4A contest on Friday, March 14. South View will confront a Rams squad coming off a 10-1 league win over Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 4-4.
