In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Sacred Heart Trojans softball team scored a close 8-7 win over the Jena Giants.
Coming up next, the Trojans battle the Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) in a 2A District 5 outing, on Tuesday, March 15. Sacred Heart will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Vikings enter the outing with a 1-0 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Cecilia (Cecilia, LA).
The Giants (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Sterlington (Sterlington, LA). The Panthers enter the non-league outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Sterlington tipped Winnfield (Winnfield, LA), 5-2, in a non-league outing.
