North Carolina High School Baseball - Purnell Swett nips Jack Britt

Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), 5-4 in a league test.

With the win, Purnell Swett upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Rams host South View (Hope Mills, NC) to battle the Tigers in a United Eight 3A/4A test on Friday, March 15. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 6-2. South View won 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Red Springs (Red Springs, NC)

With the defeat, Jack Britt falls to 2-4 on the season. The Buccaneers host Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Colts in a United Eight 3A/4A test on Tuesday, March 19. The Colts come into the test with a record of 5-3.
