The Lumberton Pirates got by the visiting South View Tigers baseball team by a count of 7-6 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gray's Creek for a United Eight 3A/4A bout on Friday, March 15. Lumberton will face a Bears team coming off a 22-0 league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 4-2.

Next, the Tigers face the Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 13. South View will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Red Devils enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC).
