Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) and the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), saw South Brunswick's baseball squad edge New Hanover by a count of 7-6.
Coming up next, the Cougars play the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A battle, on Friday, March 15. South Brunswick will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Screaming Eagle enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 8-0 league win over Laney (Wilmington, NC).
The Wildcats now possess a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Topsail for a Mideastern 3A/4A battle on Friday, March 15. New Hanover will play a Pirates squad coming off a 4-3 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 2-3.
