The Franklin Lions routed the host Elkhart Elks softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Lions (19-1) will now prepare for their battle against Crawford (Crawford, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 5-1 record. In their last outing, Crawford ran past Texas Wind (Waco, TX), 13-1, in a non-league outing.

The Elks (9-10) will now prepare for their outing against Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Black Cats enter the 3A Region III District 20 outing with a 0-8 record. In their last outing, Mexia was routed by Franklin (Franklin, TX), 22-0, in a league outing.
