In Wednesday's league match, the host Dixie Hornets softball team scored a nice 14-0 win over the Abbeville Panthers.
The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against High Point Academy (Spartanburg, SC). The Grizzlies come into the non-league match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, High Point Academy was routed by Crescent (Iva, SC), 15-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers (Batesburg, SC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, March 13. Abbeville will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record.
