Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 13-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Manzano improves its record to 2-4 on the year. The Monarchs host Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Ravens in a non-league game on Saturday, March 15. The Ravens enter the game with a record of 1-1. Rio Grande won 17-5 in their recent non-league game against Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM)

The Hornets now hold a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to West Mesa for a non-league game on Tuesday, March 25.
