Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Rattlers now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cigarroa for a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge on Wednesday, March 15. Rio Grande City will battle a Toros squad coming off a 23-20 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Toros record now stands at 2-9.

With the loss, Martin falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to battle the Huskies in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge on Wednesday, March 15. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 2-7. Juarez-Lincoln lost 23-20 in their recent league challenge against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX)
