The South Point Red Raiders softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets to 7 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, South Point improves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Red Raiders travel to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC) to clash with the Greenwave in a Big South 3A game on Monday, March 18. The Greenwave come into the game with a record of 1-3. Ashbrook lost 13-12 in their recent non-league game against Berry (Charlotte, NC)

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game, on Monday, March 18.
