Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Northwestern Trojans (Rock Hill, SC), 16-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Catawba Ridge improves its record to 7-0 on the year. The Copperheads travel to Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC) to play the Demons in a non-league game on Friday, March 14. The Demons enter the game with a record of 2-2. Lugoff-Elgin won 6-5 in their recent non-league game against Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC)

The Trojans now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Clover for a AAAAA Region 3 game on Tuesday, March 18. Northwestern will play a Blue Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Ninety Six (Ninety Six, SC). The Blue Eagles record now stands at 5-4.
