Texas High School Baseball - Progreso loses to Rio Hondo

In Friday's non-league bout, the Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX), by a tally of 8-2.

Next up, the Bobcats encounter the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 13. Rio Hondo will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Bloodhounds enter the bout with a 5-5 record after their 13-6 non-league loss to Raymondville (Raymondville, TX).

With the defeat, Progreso drops to 0-5 on the year. The Red ants travel to La Villa (La Villa, TX) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 17. The Cardinals go into the challenge with a record of 0-4. La Villa lost 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Freer (Freer, TX)
