In Tuesday's league game, the visiting Fike Demons baseball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the West Johnston Wildcats.
The Demons (5-1) will now prepare for their game against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Trojans go into the Quad County 3A game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, South Johnston was overwhelmed by Cleveland (Clayton, NC), 6-1, in a non-league game.
The Wildcats (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Harnett Central tipped Westover (Fayetteville, NC), 9-0, in a league game.
