The Hoggard Vikings softball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting West Brunswick Trojans to 0 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Hoggard improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Vikings host Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a Mideastern 3A/4A game on Friday, March 17. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 2-1. Topsail lost 11-0 in their recent league game against South Brunswick (Southport, NC)

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A game, on Friday, March 17. West Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Screaming Eagle come into the game with a 2-5 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC).
