The crowd at Thursday's league match between the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) and the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), saw East Rowan's softball squad nip Northwest Cabarrus by a count of 7-1.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A match on Tuesday, March 19. East Rowan will face a Falcons squad coming off a 15-6 league win over Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Northwest Cabarrus falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC) to face the Knights in a South Piedmont 3A match on Tuesday, March 19. The Knights enter the match with a record of 2-3. Lake Norman Charter won 13-0 in their recent league match against Robinson (Concord, NC)
