In Thursday's league contest, the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), by a margin of 18-0.

With the triumph, West Lincoln moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Rebels host West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC) to play the Warriors in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A contest on Tuesday, March 19. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 3-3.

In their next game, the Red Devils play the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A contest, on Tuesday, March 19. Newton-Conover will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record.
